Angela Moorer was born in a small city in Eastern Washington called Kennewick. Her parents, two previous New York City residents, had moved to Washington 12 years before with her older brother and sister with the intention of creating a more stable life for their family. Living in Kennewick, Moorer experienced an amazing childhood with her loving family and friends but felt her life lacked something important: diversity. She felt trapped in an endless suburbia of white picket fences and blue collar workers. As a teenager, Moorer began to search for ways to connect with people of other cultures, backgrounds and interests. Now a student at the University of Washington, Moorer is looking forward to the future. While she is not exactly sure what she wants to be, she knows she wants her education to give her a broad range of career options.
Andrew Hart is a Seattle native of stubborn Irish blood. Bred on Legos, non-sugary (aka boring) cereal, forced family camping trips and unjustly early curfews. Now a Communication student at the University of Washington, he is in bed before 9:30 p.m. by his own will. He was born wearing a flannel shirt, and has not yet been seen in anything else. He enjoys all things that lend themselves to wearing flannel, including: schmoozing, wandering, skateboarding, blueberry picking, and leaf kicking. He also enjoys things that do not necessarily involve the possibility of bear attacks, such as “good” art and music; working without pay; edgy jokes and “sticking by yer guns.” He aspires to start a maple syrup farm. He is looking forward to climbing up ladders, and staking a claim for himself. He aims to do this in the Communication field because in his 23 years he knows folks love to talk, but rarely does anyone care. By versing himself in the field of communication, Andrew will “make ‘em care.” Giv’er hell.
